Bio

Dr. Manoj Kumar Dhadwal is an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Engineering at San Diego State University. His academic and professional journey spans India, South Korea, Denmark, and the United States, bringing a truly global perspective to his work. He has held research and faculty positions at the Technical University of Denmark, Konkuk University, and Seoul National University, with his work supported by agencies including the National Research Foundation of Korea and the Danish Energy Agency. Dr. Dhadwal’s contributions have been published in leading journals, including AIAA Journal and Composites Part B, and have been recognized with multiple Best Paper awards. He is an active mentor, collaborator, and Senior Member of AIAA.

Dr. Dhadwal’s research bridges theoretical, computational, and experimental advancements in aerospace composite structures, with a particular emphasis on flexible space structures, nonlinear dynamics, advanced structural testing, and the development of digital twin frameworks for real-time monitoring. He has developed cutting-edge computational tools for the analysis and optimization of anisotropic structures, impacting applications such as rotorcraft blades, composite wind turbine blades, and deployable space booms.
