Message from the Chair

Started in the 1960s, the Aerospace Engineering (AE) program at SDSU has a proud history of more than 5 decades. In the AE Department, we offer solid and modern aerospace education through learning rigorous fundamentals and hands-on classes to work on projects supported by industry and other sponsors; we provide our students, at both graduate and undergraduate levels, with abundant opportunities to do state-of-the-art research; the faculty develop cutting-edge research programs with some nationally and internationally recognized expertise; and the student clubs and organizations in the AE Department are among some of the most vibrant and well participated in SDSU. Our graduates work in industry, government centers and laboratories, and academia in California and throughout the U.S., some of whom are technical or institutional leaders of their organizations.
