    The Aerospace Engineering Department at SDSU provides education and training in aerospace engineering principles and state-of-the-art practice that emphasizes problem solving, multidisciplinary team work, and ethical engineering practice. We aspire to maintain an active and high quality research program that contributes to future innovations in aerospace engineering. We collaborate with aerospace industry, U.S. national labs and professional aerospace societies to address current and emerging challenges.

    Announcements

     We are pleased to announce that the 2015 Galactic Unite Borden Scholarship recipients have been determined. The awards will go to the Arlindo Brok, Benjamin Beckwith, Eve Christman, Jacob Dodson, and Jennifer Martin Velazquez.

    Along with the $3,000 award, the recipients will have access to one-on-one mentoring in the Galactic Unite educaitonal partnership with Virgin Galactic. Congratulations to this year's Galactic United Scholars and thanks to all that applied!


    For the 2nd year in a row, the AE Department has received $25K donation from The Left Coast Fund toward The Galactic Unite Borden Scholarships. The scholarships are to support 'SDSU students interested in and actively pursuing space transportation related design projects or research for the 2015-2016 academic year.' Applications for these scholarships will be available here (through the AE Department Web Page) in Mid-May.

      

    The department of Aerospace Engineering is pleased to congratulate Travis Wyatt, Immanuel Marinas and McKenzie Melcher who recently received $3,000 Galactic Unite Borden Scholarship Awards.
